I decided to actually try it out and see if it would work. First, I used a cloth to polish only the right lens. Then, I left my glasses in the bathtub with hot water.
It's a little hard to tell, but... The right side, which was polished with a cloth, is clear and not cloudy! On the other hand, the left side, which was not polished with a cloth, is slightly cloudy.
I think the difference would be clearer if the test results were from a room to the outside, where there is a greater difference in temperature and humidity.
