Learn programming and robotics this summer with the educational gadget "Apitor"!

Car made with Apitor

"Apitor" is a block that allows you to control a robot through programming for the first time.

"Apitor" is a block toy kit that allows you to play while learning about program control.

Programming is often thought to be difficult, but you can learn it easily and deeply while having fun.
This is an innovative kit that combines a block toy and a programming robot, making it ideal for your child's intellectual development.

Why not have fun learning programming together with your child?

You can smoothly carry out everything from assembly to programming by using the free application that supports Japanese.

Let's make some wonderful memories together as a family this summer!

What Apitor can do

✔Create 18 different programming robots and play with them even if you have no programming knowledge!
✔ Perfect for beginners who want to learn programming using a visual programming language!
✔Play with blocks, play with radio-controlled toys, and code for age-appropriate STEM education

What you can learn at "Apitor"

Assemble the blocks and move them like a radio-controlled car. Then use programming to create and control your own robot's movements.

This series of games will not only help with programming and STEM education, but will also be helpful in broadening children's creativity.

Apitor is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

The main feature of the course is that educational games can be played at an age-appropriate level: assembly play at the "beginner" level, radio control play at the "intermediate" level, and programming at the "advanced" level.

Apitor's biggest feature is that it is a programmable robot, but young children can also enjoy assembling it like a regular block toy and playing with it by rolling it around with their hands.

As they get older, they can move on to playing with radio control toys, and finally to programming, so the appeal is that you can play with them in stages as you get older.

I actually assembled the "Apitor"

Apitor's outer box

The box has an American design and features a cool Jeep on it, which makes your heart flutter with anticipation even before you open it.

Apitor has 18 models in total

There are 18 different models drawn on the back and you can build them by following the instructions.

Parts and Manuals

When you open the box, you will find a user's manual and the parts needed to build the model.
There aren't many extra parts, so be careful not to lose any.

Begin assembly!

This time I will try my hand at making a jeep, which is a bit more difficult.
When you select "Assemble", instructions will appear and you will need to follow them to assemble the blocks.

The Apitor app will serve as a manual for assembling the parts.

This is how the instructions come out, making it fairly easy to understand.

I think it will be fun for parents and children to assemble it together, talking about this and that.

There are some parts that require a little force, so it's easier if you use needle-nose pliers!

Production process 1

Little by little, the blocks are carefully stacked.

Production process 2

The shape is starting to take shape. We're just one step away from completion.

The completed Jeep

It was completed successfully! A cool jeep was completed!

It took about 3 hours to get to this stage. It's a volume that small children can enjoy over multiple days with the help of their parents.

The completed jeep can be controlled in conjunction with a smartphone via Bluetooth.
*Three AA batteries are required to operate the model.

Now let's get started!

Let's get going!

Select "Control" in the Apitor app

Return to the top screen and select "Controls" for your Jeep.

Bluetooth scan for Apitor app

Next, tap the Bluetooth mark in the upper right corner of the application.
Then the scan will begin.

Power button in the back of the jeep

Next, press the square power button on the back of the model.
Then when you bring it close to your smartphone, it will pair with the application.

You're now ready to go.

Controller after pairing with the Apitor app is complete

Once pairing is complete, the control screen will appear. The left button controls forward and backward movement, and the right button controls left and right movement.

Actual operation of the jeep using the Apitor app

When you actually try operating the Apitor, it takes some time to get used to the controls at first, but as you use it more you will gradually be able to drive it just the way you want.

The gears are meshing properly! The motor is working! Apitor is moving!
It's a bit moving ^^

I took a video of the actual operation.

Turning is smooth and it can be steered in any direction just like a normal radio-controlled car.
It's very satisfying to see the jeep that we worked so hard to build moving.

The appeal of this product is that it is not only educational for children, but also has elements that adults can enjoy.

Control "Apitor" with visual programming!

It's fun to operate the Apitor like a radio-controlled car, but the greatest enjoyment comes from the fact that it can be controlled through programming.

Select the drawing robot in the Apitor app

There are only a limited number of robots that can be controlled by code, but each one has its own unique movements.
Select Code.

Programming in "Apitor" is visual programming, which means that programming is very simple, as you can program by combining objects that are easy to understand visually.

So no programming expertise is required.
