Smartphones, digital cameras, mobile batteries, and other IoT devices...
There are an increasing number of products equipped with USB PD.
But did you know that if those USB PDs support fast charging, you can quickly charge your battery if it's in a pinch for a short period of time?
This time we will introduce you to some of these amazing gadgets.
Enjoy a comfortable IT life with USB PD high-speed charging!
If your device supports USB PD fast charging, you should definitely take advantage of it.
However, you will need a special charger that supports fast charging.
The product we are introducing this time, the Innergie USB-C Power Adapter, is a product with two USB ports, whereas most USB PD fast chargers are usually single-port types.
I tried it and found it to be very useful, so I would like to introduce it to you.
What is Innergie?
The parent company of the Innergie brand is Delta Electronics, headquartered in Taiwan and celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. As the world's No. 1 power supply manufacturer, the company has built up a long track record in various fields, including electronic components.
Product appearance

The product packaging is very compact and has a neat appearance.
The front of the package says that it can be used with most devices, which gets me excited.

The back of the product packaging states that the maximum total output is 63W.
This seems to be a typical figure for recent USB PD high-speed chargers, but since this is the maximum output from the two ports combined, the compatible capacity is likely to be large.

Product appearance. Compact design, 5.5cm wide x 5cm tall x 3cm thick. It's a very neat and small charger, and is easy to carry around not only for everyday use but also when traveling or on business trips. If it's this size and supports 63W, it's a pretty amazing product.

USB PD has two ports. Most high-capacity, high-speed chargers are designed with only one port, but by making it two ports, we have increased convenience.
Having two outlets is very convenient for everyday use and reduces the worry of running out of power strips.
Charging performance (single port)
Now let's take a look at the actual performance of the power supply.
First of all, it has charging performance when using only one port, not two ports at the same time.

All of the devices used this time are compatible with USB PD high-speed charging.
From the top is a MacBook Pro, on the bottom left is a mobile battery, and on the bottom right is SHARP's AQUOS R2.
In both cases, measurements were taken when the battery was nearly dead.
1. MacBook Pro
First, I tried inserting it into my MacBook Pro.

The charging speed result was 100W, a perfect score!
The charging speed is comparable to that of Apple's original charger, so it can be said that it performs to its full potential.
Apple's charger only has one port, so it's definitely worth switching to this product.
2. AQUOS R2
Next, I tried it on the SHARP smartphone, AQUOS R2.

The result is 10W. It seems that charging is fast enough.
Again, 100% Hanamaru. I'd like to use this instead of the charger that comes with my regular smartphone.
3. Mobile battery
Finally, I tried it with a 5000mAh mobile battery that I regularly use.

The result was 38W! The battery charging light started to light up.
Even if you suddenly have to go out and don't have time to charge, you can still get a decent amount of charge with just 5 minutes of charging, which is a great speed.
The charging speed will maximize the potential of your compatible devices when you use a single port. The reassuring speed is a pleasure to have even when you need it urgently in your daily life.
Charging performance (single port)
Finally, we compared the speed when charging two ports at the same time.
1. MacBook Pro & mobile battery (charging speed on the Mac side)

I compared the MacBook Pro and a mobile battery while charging them simultaneously.
As a result, the charging speed of the Macbook Pro is 27W.
Although it was necessary to balance it with a mobile battery that had a high charging wattage, it still managed to deliver a performance of nearly 30W.
These numbers are not enough to run your MacBook Pro while simultaneously charging it, but they are sufficient for use in your free time when you are not using it.
2. MacBook Pro & mobile battery (charging speed of the battery)

On the other hand, the charging speed on the mobile side was 25W.
Although the performance of the mobile battery cannot be maximized, the speed is sufficient as it shares the charge evenly with the MacBok Pro.
3. Mobile battery & AQUOS R2

Finally, I tried charging the mobile battery and the AQUOS R2 at the same time.
As a result, the mobile battery's output was 33W, slightly higher than when connected to a MacBook Pro.
I found that it is possible to charge a mobile battery to nearly full capacity.
By the way, the AQUOS R2 side is 10W, just like when it was plugged in separately.
The charger should still have some margin of performance, but it seems to have a little leeway in the peak. When I shared it, the charging speed was roughly like this.
When using two ports, it doesn't share the charging speed that matches the maximum capacity of the charger, but rather it feels like there is a little leeway in the performance to give the charger some leeway in its maximum power.
Rather than sharing the full 63W, it seems like they share around 50W.
It seems that the maximum power is kept low to ensure product safety.
Summary
How was it?
Both single and dual insertion configurations provided sufficient performance.
The charging speed, especially when plugged in alone, is extremely fast, and I think that this performance will come in handy in many situations, even during those hectic mornings when you tend to find yourself stranded without a charge.
The Innergie USB-C Power Adapter is a compact gadget in terms of both price and size, so why not consider purchasing one?
