The author lives in Yutenji, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, a place with a calm atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. On the day when I was invited by NAO from the editorial department to Nakameguro, I was greeted by a free and relaxed space called Travelers Factory.
I was fascinated by stationery and miscellaneous goods from an early age, and visiting stationery stores and select shops was a daily routine in my student days. Since I entered the workforce, I have secretly enjoyed visiting local stores whenever I go on a business trip and searching for local specialties.
After coming across a wonderful store in Marunouchi called "Delfonics" (now closed), I was awakened to the appeal of stationery and miscellaneous goods that combine functionality and design, and my love for "things" has only grown deeper.
That's how I came across Travelers Factory in my new base in Yutenji. There I found a wonderful space that adds color to my daily life.
Spend every day traveling
Traveler's Factory is a store based on the concept of "tools to help you spend your days like you're traveling," and sells a variety of stationery items, including Traveler's Notebooks, miscellaneous goods that will tickle your wanderlust, and original goods.

Located in a residential area close to Nakameguro Station, this building has a retro atmosphere. To be honest, first-time visitors may get a little lost. I may have overlooked it if NAO hadn't taken me there... But despite its secluded location, there was a line in front of the store, even during the daytime on a weekday! My expectations were rising.

Carefully selected products fill the space, each with a story that can be conveyed at a glance. It's like a miniature museum filled with travel memories from around the world.
Travel companion "Traveler's Notebook"
The face of Traveler's Factory can be said to be the "Traveler's Notebook."

This is a personal notebook with a simple cover made from Thai cowhide leather that can be freely combined with a variety of refills.
One of the attractions of Traveler's Notebooks is that the leather changes color and luster with use, creating a unique texture over time. A new Traveler's Notebook has a matte texture, but the samples on display have a beautiful luster of well-used leather, and I was drawn in by the beauty of the leather. It was as if the owner's memories of their travels were engraved into them.
Not only can you record your travels, but you can also use it to write down your daily ideas, sketches, and keep a diary - the possibilities are endless. You can create your own original notebook, one of a kind in the world.

The appeal of the Traveler's Notebook isn't just its high degree of freedom, but also the fact that you can choose the refills you need to suit your style from the wide range of options available.
In addition to basic refills such as lined, grid, and blank, there is also a wide range of unique refills such as watercolor paper, craft paper, and zipper cases.

There is also a wide selection of accessories to decorate your Traveler's Notebook, such as charms, stamps, and stickers. The joy of creating your own unique Traveler's Notebook is truly a blissful experience.

The stationery and miscellaneous goods are also carefully selected
Traveler's Factory's signature product is the Traveler's Notebook, but the store is packed with lovely, eye-catching stationery and miscellaneous goods.
The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the match-shaped incense called "hibi."
We have previously introduced this product on our website, but it has a wonderful scent that soothes a tired mind. It would be great if you could incorporate the limited time of 10 minutes into your daily rotation.
The fact that they chose hibi shows how sensitive this shop is. It's so wonderful.

This shop has an extraordinary focus on leather and brass products.
The charm mentioned earlier is made of brass, and this carabiner is also made of brass, so the character improves with each use.
This is just my imagination, but I think suitcases take on a character each time they "travel." Scratches, tattered safety seals, and so on. These "travel items" live on in each item, and the consistent worldview they create is perhaps what makes this store and its items so appealing.

There is also a wide selection of lovely leather products. One item that caught my eye was the mini version of the Traveler's Notebook. It's the size of a memo pad, but it's sturdy and you can enjoy the aging process of the notebook in your own way. The charms are also very stylish and cute.

And what really captures the hearts of stationery lovers is the minimalist, gadget-like stationery. All of the great items are reasonably priced.
You can feel that care has gone into the selection of each item, and the size is perfect for traveling as they can all fit into a single pouch.

Enjoy the travelling mood with specially selected coffee
Traveler's Factory also offers a cafe that uses carefully selected coffee beans.
*Drip coffee is only available at the Nakameguro store.

The carefully selected beans are sourced from "Aalto Coffee" in Tokushima Prefecture. Their proud "Traveler's Blend" is characterized by its deep flavor and aroma. My impression after trying it was that it was rich and bitter, but had a clean aftertaste and was very delicious. The aroma was so good that it seemed to stir up my desire to travel.
There is a relaxation space on the second floor that anyone can use.
You can freely enjoy yourself by customizing your Traveler's Notebook, relaxing, chatting with other customers, etc.
*Events and exhibitions are sometimes held. For details, please see the store's website.
The light coming in through the large windows, the comfortable sofas, and the quiet, calm atmosphere... I felt as if time had stopped. It was a wonderful space comparable to my favorite cafe, Toa Coffee in Monzen-Nakacho. (Sorry for the local story. I'll introduce it someday.)
The cafe at Travelers Factory Nakameguro has received high praise on review sites.

You can also purchase Aalto coffee.
Enjoy some time at home without being disturbed by anyone or anything.

We also sell paperbacks that you might want to read during your coffee break.
It's up to you whether you create the time to read a novel while drinking Aalto coffee from your own bottle while waiting at the airport.

The appeal of Traveler's Factory lies not only in the carefully selected products, but also in the warm hospitality of the staff.
