I recently purchased a new office desk from Nitori.
The reason was that my previous desk was already showing its age.
The texture of this burnt piece is just irresistible...(^o^)
The price was very cheap at just over 1 yen, so I made a good purchase.
*The delivery was made last night, so I spent the whole night replacing the desk, but...
Of course the table top is not made of natural wood but veneer, so in terms of quality it's not that different from what I've been using up until now...^^;

What I like about it is that it feels more like a study room than a desk.
At night, the effect of spotlights is added, making it even more realistic.
This, combined with the calm atmosphere, has a relaxing effect (maybe).
And so, I said goodbye to 20 years of life that relied solely on pen tablets!
I thought about it a lot, but this desk is 5cm shorter than my previous one, so it's not long enough to hold a pen tablet, and more than anything, I wanted to keep my desk neat and tidy...
However, without the tablet, the keyboard has become a hassle, and the typing feel is different from before, so I make a lot of typos...lol
It'll probably take a little time to get used to it.
Another thing we paid particular attention to was the installation of a glass pedestal.
When writing articles, I sometimes take photos of gadgets on a desk, so I wanted to be able to store the keyboard underneath.
Since the iMac is placed on a stand, you will have to look up at it, but you will probably get used to it. The benefit of having freed up space on your desk is greater than that.
The glass base has a very nice texture, so it's not only functional but also looks great.

This texture will make product photography look better than ever before.
I usually have two light boxes, one large and one small, and I use them depending on the purpose, but when I have an item that doesn't fit in the box or it's too much hassle, I take the photo on my desk.
So, from now on, there will naturally be more opportunities to take photos at your desk.
Result: Glad I bought it!
I never thought that just changing the texture of the desk would change the atmosphere and motivation so much.
I'm sure that if you continue to use it for a long time, it will get scratches and stains, but that's also part of the fun of aging.
I'm going to start today with a fresh attitude, sitting at my desk, which I'm fond of, as I get on with my work and interviews!
