History and transition of this blog author

Ever since I was little, I've loved unusual toys and drawing. I would draw posters on the backs of flyers or get lost searching for unusual toys in department stores. I've had a strong interest in gadgets and design since I was a child.
Also, from a young age, I had difficulty distinguishing between boy and girl in terms of my own gender, and this concern only grew as I grew older.
今は自分がトランスジェンダーであることを受け入れ、逆にジェンダーであることで多様的な視点で物事を捉え、発信していく独自性を持っていると自負しています。

I also work as a freelancer doing video production and DTP, mainly using Adobe Aftereffects to create corporate VPs and PVs that use powerful motion graphics.

HISTORY

1993
Going down the path of Japanese cuisine

After graduating from junior high school, he worked as a professional Japanese cuisine chef for about eight and a half years, working his way up to the level of cooking.
This experience gave me a keen sense of taste, patience and a good sense of color.
Anyway, I drank alcohol in the kitchen, went to horse races, and was often surrounded by gangster-like people, but somehow I managed to maintain my dignity. But when I was 23 years old, I discovered a PC, and that was the turning point of my destiny.

Childhood dream: becoming a designer

I wanted to be a designer! It was the time of the PC boom. As I made animations using Macromedia Flash as a hobby, my desire to be a designer grew stronger. I went to a local advertising agency without an appointment, and even though I was turned away, I didn't back down. After six months of bringing in design comps every day, my dream came true and I was recognized, starting my career as a professional graphic designer.
macromdeia Creates various advertisements such as posters and flyers using Flash, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, and also works as a web designer. Creates many websites using table tags. Creates many Flash websites. Gradually becomes obsessed with the appeal of videos using Flash.

Becoming a freelancer for freedom

Although she enjoyed being part of a company, she wanted to see how far she could go on her own, so she went freelance. She started freelance advertising production under the name "CINEMA CANVAS." At the same time, she seriously confronted the gender issue that had been a complex for her since childhood, and underwent various sexual surgeries and FFS (facial plastic surgery) to live as a transgender (androgynous). At the same time, she also changed her name to Tomo in court.
